Elliot Deutsch has toured with Solomon Burke, The Mutaytor, and Pato Banton, and performed with Jason Mraz, Eddie Floyd, and BB King. His horn work can be heard on numerous recordings including The Mutaytor albums (Yelling Theatre in a Crowded Fire, Unconditional Love) and with Lucas Nelson (Brando's Paradise EP).
I believe that good horn parts can elevate a good pop song into a great one. The horn parts should serve only to support the song. The lines should never cover up the singer, or detract from the lyrics. And when there is a moment for the horns to shine out front, it will be with a catchy hook.
